Fun! Thank You Caitlin & Carol!

We started out this gorgeous Memorial Day weekend by going to see Men in Black 3 on Friday Night. We usually try not to go on an Opening night because of crowds, but honestly, I could not wait! We both wanted to see the dress I created for the film in action, especially after seeing so many great photos of it on the web.
We rush to get there a little early so we can get seats together- Lobby is oddly quite. We decide to go for the full experience and go 3D. Our jaws hit the ground- ask about regular price & hit it again. Went for 3D since it was not a lot of difference. (Is $17.50 a ticket normal? Is $15.50? My bro, based in Malibu gasped, so I guess not. Must have been longer than we thought since we’ve been to the movies!)
We get to the specified screen, and wonder if we’re in the right place. There were literally 5 people sitting there. By the time Men in Black 3 started there were maybe 12 people in the theater.
It was like a private showing! Which was kinda great (we pulled out our cameras -in our excitement we forgot we were watching in 3D!) but kinda odd – you miss all the shared reactions. But a real pleasant novelty in NYC!
Our leather lily dress was so prominently (& fabulously) featured on Nicole. Opening shot! In fact the whole Opening scene! Great Statement & screen time! Plus, Men in Black 3 was so much better than any third installment we can think of, and as always the monsters and effects were a blast- very pleasantly surprised!
Recommended Fun!

So very glad to see that at least one of my outfits seems to have made it into the final cut! We made 4 versions of the black leather dress that is definitely in the film, 2 for Nicole and 2 for stunts.
There is no danger of the clothes wearing this girl - as we have seen over the past couple of weeks!

She looks so amazing in this dress which a customized mini version of my Lily dress, made up in a French lambskin in a mini length.

It was a fun, fast and furious project and the costume designer Mary Vogt and her team have always been great to work with & I love the future-retro-bombshell look that resulted. I can’t wait to see the film – we are going this weekend.
Whew, I got in an application in today for a very important deadline. I am thankful I found out about it, since applications went out in February and I only found out last week!
I had emailed an inquiry a month or so ago which must have wound up in the ozone. (I don’t feel so bad now- they can’t keep track of multiple email boxes either!)
Then the side effect of having your own business set in - severely compressed time…
I forgot. Then something reminded me- (Erin!) Then we find out on Thursday deadline is Wednesday (today). Erin and a bunch of other amazing people put a flame under me!
Thank You ALL.
So there’s that- and… YES! At least one of my outfits made the cut and is in Men in Black 3.
Black Leather – Nicole Scherzinger – Aliens – need I say more? The dress here, and all over the internet.
And today I was also interviewed by the beautiful Natasha Romanova for NTV – Russian TV. This had the neat little bonus of a ferry ride over to the other side (NJ). It was like a mini vacation! I really wanted the ferry to add a loop or two on its way across the river – 8 minutes goes by in a flash on the water!
